MediaPilot vs Claude

Claude writes. MediaPilot publishes.

Claude is one of the best places to work on a draft. By Anthropic's own account it makes no photos or illustrations, and it needs a connector to put a post on LinkedIn. MediaPilot is one. Here is how they fit, and when Claude alone is enough.

What Claude does

A writer with tools, but no picture desk

Claude drafts and rewrites as well as any assistant. It remembers context across conversations, keeps projects, and on paid plans runs scheduled tasks in the cloud. Custom connectors work on every plan; the free plan allows one. Two things are missing for a LinkedIn channel. Anthropic's help centre says Claude does not generate photos or illustrations; it builds diagrams and charts as HTML and SVG. And a post reaches LinkedIn only through something else: a connector, such as the Typefully scheduler in Claude's directory, or the Claude in Chrome extension. MediaPilot covers both gaps and the bookkeeping: an image with each draft, a calendar, the official LinkedIn API, analytics per post.

  • Claude: drafting, memory, projects, scheduled tasks
  • No photos or illustrations, by Anthropic's own account
  • MediaPilot: image, calendar, LinkedIn API, analytics

Add MediaPilot as a connector and stay in Claude

MediaPilot has an MCP server — the protocol Anthropic created for connecting assistants to tools. In Claude you add it as a custom connector with one URL, sign in on media-pilot.io and choose what it may do: read, draft, schedule, publish, each separately. From then on Claude works in your workspace: it reads the topic pool, writes a draft that lands in MediaPilot with its image, schedules the post and later reads the analytics back. Anthropic says scheduled tasks can use your connectors too, so a weekly drafting task is possible in principle. It needs MediaPilot Growth or Scale. On Claude's side any plan will do.

  • One URL: https://mcp.media-pilot.io/mcp
  • Start with read and draft; add publishing later
  • Revoke the connection in MediaPilot at any time

FAQ

Good to know

Not a photo or illustration; Anthropic says so. With MediaPilot connected, the image comes with the draft: a scene, a quote card or a framework card.
